Ziptrek's Annual Locals’ Day is BACK for 2026!

Join us from 10am on Sunday October 25th for a live DJ, ziplining, and a whole lot of fun!

This Locals’ Day, Southern Lakes and Central Otago residents can experience the eco-exhilarating fun of Ziptrek at a special locals-only rate at just $60 per person for our 4-Line Moa course!

But that’s not all! We’re also opening up our steepest tree-to-tree zipline, Line 6, for a Koha* (donation). No need to pre-book, just wander up or down the Tiki Trail on the day (don’t forget cash or card).

Head up the gondola, hike the Tiki Trail or jump on your bike and make your way to the Ziptrek Treehouse!

Best of all, 50% of all ticket sales will go directly to Central Lakes Family Services, a local charitable organisation supporting individuals, families and children through free social services across the Central Lakes region.

Important Info for Locals’ Day

• Proof of residence will be required at check-in.

• Gondola tickets are sold separately (we recommend Skyline Queenstown’s Gondola Annual Pass for the best value).

• Groups for the 4-Line Moa course will start and finish at the Ziptrek Treehouse. Please check in 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure.

• If you’re tackling Line 6, you’ll end up at the bottom of the gondola.

• Allow 45–60 minutes for the 4-Line Moa course and 30–45 minutes for Line 6.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 6 years

• Maximum weight: 125kg

• Minimum weight for Line 6: 30kg
